Antigen Test Kit

The Inspire COVID-19 Rapid Testing Program utilizes an FDA-authorized COVID-19 Antigen Test Kit. Your onsite test will be self-administered under observation by an Inspire Certified Tester who will guide you through the testing process. You will receive verification of the results in less than 30 minutes. Your Inspire Diagnostic Lab report will be provided to you by email and can be printed or displayed on your mobile device for boarding.

Norwegian Cruise Line Embarkation Onsite, Pre-Cruise Testing

Norwegian Cruise Line has partnered with Inspire Diagnostics to provide hassle-free, pre-cruise supervised testing for our guests to meet CDC requirements for boarding your cruise.

Testing will take place on the day of embarkation from 9:00am- 4:00pm in close proximity to the NCL registration. Face masking will be mandatory throughout the testing process.

Guests will come to the testing area prior to their departure, most pre-sail hours will be the day of embarkation from 9:00am- 4:00pm. Guests will register online and receive a confirmation via email QR code and then proceed through the testing site to begin testing.

Testing will take place as part of the cruise onboarding process.  You will be directed to the Inspire Diagnostics testing area by a Norwegian Cruise Line representative. The guest will register online through their phone and then provide the registration information in the form of a QR code to the Inspire representative.  The QR code is scanned to confirm your personal information and email address. Guests will then proceed to be tested. Once tested you will be directed to the waiting area where you will wait to receive your results via text/email. Once you have received your results and it’s negative you can proceed to Norwegian Cruise Line check in.

Guests will be tested with an FDA-approved rapid antigen test.  The test is self-administered under observation. The test uses a nasal swab, inserted about 1” into each nostril for 7-10 seconds.

The processing time may vary due to testing volume. The average time to result the test and forward the result to the guest is 20-30 minutes.

Current NCL policy for children and under: Vaccinated children Will be charged a $75.00 antigen test, unvaccinated children WON’T be charged the $75.00 antigen test cost, this charge will go to NCL.

Any positive result on the rapid antigen test will trigger a Norwegian Cruise Line representative to meet with you on next steps.
